We administer a drug called Midazolam which comes from the Benzodiazepine family of drugs. This family includes drugs such as Diazepam or Valium (which are often taken for anxiety).

This drug has 2 amazing effects for our patients.

1) It reduces the level of anxiety significantly often making patients feel calm and even sleepy.
2) It has an amnesia (memory altering) effect that means very little of the appointment is remembered afterwards.

Patients need an escort to take them home and care for them for the rest of the day of their treatment.

Having been in the NHS system for many years with the same dentist the practice went private and i was informed by a text which was not in my opinion the correct way to treat customers. This was the time to search for a dentist and i opted to try the Linden Tree as my wife had treatment done there and was very happy. After my first appointment i realised what id been missing all these years, from the cleaning to the dental work it was first class —-treated like a person and they talk to you and have the time to explain what they are doing or going to do, the dental work i had done was great and my mouth hasn’t felt this good for some time, money was well spent, you don’t realise what your missing with NHS until you go private —the Linden Tree are very professional and have all the up to date modern equipment, great people to deal with.

I am extremely anxious ( terrified),when it comes to dental appointments and have experienced panic attacks. The Linden Tree Dental Lounge is exceptional because the team have the understanding and the patience to help alleviate that extreme anxiety. The dentist allocated was Roger Gongçalves and he allowed me to take things at a pace that suited me. Reassurance, without pressure, which made a very uncomfortable situation bearable for me. Even though I still get very anxious,it isn't the same level of crippling anxiety that led to panic attacks. I can highly recommend The Linden Tree Dental Lounge if you are an extremely anxious patient who is terrified of dentists. I have been twice for essential treatments with great results and already booked my next appointment.
